The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to sophomores and juniors who demonstrate leadership, service, and a commitment to issues related to Native American nations or the environment.

2025-2026 Deadlines:

Internal Deadline: January 20, 2026

National Deadline: March 4, 2026

Purpose:

The awards scholarships to sophomores and juniors who demonstrate leadership, service, and a commitment to issues related to Native American nations or the environment. The scholarship honors the legacy of Morris and Stewart Udall.

Eligibility:

In order to apply, a student must:

- be a college sophomore or junior

- be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident

- be a Native American or Alaskan Native (only if applying to study issues impacting Native American nations): see details

Nomination Process:

Oxy may nominate up to 8 applicants per year. To apply through Oxy, applicants must complete our by January 20, 2026. If you are nominated, you will work with the committee to polish your application before the national deadline.
