Image for Bucket Lists: From Weddings to Taco Trucks
Hey everyone, my name is Keane.  This is my first time blogging for the Office of Admission, so Ill start off with some basics. Im a senior economics major here at Oxy, minoring in education and sociology. On campus, Im a member of Oxys Impact Fund (a microfinance club) and the Vice President of Phi Kappa Psi (one of Oxys eight greek organizations). Im from Huntington Beach, CA and still have no idea what exactly Im going to be doing next year despite seemingly being asked every time I talk to someone. I couldnt be happier with the time Ive spent at 17勛圖 and am excited that you all are considering Oxy in your college application process.
I was going to write this blog looking back at my last four years here, but Ive got class soon and dont want to get too nostalgic. Instead, Im going to talk the college bucket list a few of my friends and I made at the beginning of the year. One of the nice things about being at Oxy and living in a massive city like Los Angeles is that its impossible to run out of things to do. Ive made a conscious effort to go out and soak up as much of our campus and city as possible, and I still have so much I want to do. As a result, our actual bucket list is extremely long, so Ill just give you a few of the important ones:

- Attend a sporting event for each Oxy team (shoutout to the mens soccer team for beating Pomona-Pitzer on Wednesday to move to 11-4)
- Meet the first-years that live in my old room in Braun
- Try every taco truck in Eagle Rock and Highland Park (except for you Rambos. Never Rambos.)
- Crash an Oxy wedding
- Be an extra in a an on campus filming (Im already in the background for the last season of Arrested Development when they shot at the Cooler)

Looking back at my college experience is great, but its too early in the year for that. For now, Im just going to try and complete as much of this list as possible and enjoy the rest of the time I have here. Thanks to anyone that made it this far for bearing with me, and I look forward to giving you all updates over the rest of the year.
