Angela L. (Angie) Bos serves as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College at 17³Ô¹Ï. Before coming to Oxy, she was Dean of the School of Public Service at Boise State University, following fifteen years at the College of Wooster as a political science professor, department chair, and Associate Dean for Experiential Learning.

An internationally recognized scholar who frequently co-authors with undergraduate students, Dr. Bos researches the challenges women face when seeking political leadership. Her work is published in top journals, including the American Political Science ReviewPolitical Behavior, and Public Opinion Quarterly. She is the co-founder of an interdisciplinary Gender and Political Psychology network and studied gendered political socialization in the Netherlands as a 2021 Fulbright U.S. Scholar at the University of Amsterdam.

Throughout her administrative career, Dr. Bos has focused on expanding high-impact experiential learning, supporting faculty and staff development, and improving student success. At Boise State, she spearheaded key initiatives including the Capital Connection D.C. internship program and SPS Connect, an integrated academic and career resource center. Across all her roles, she is committed to using inclusive, collaborative processes to build systems that help faculty, staff, and students thrive.

Dr. Bos holds an MA and PhD in political science from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities and a BA from the University of Minnesota–Morris.
