On July 17, 2026, the final rule for the elimination of the Duration of Status (D/S) was released by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The rule goes into effect on September 15, 2026. Once admitted to the College, international students are full participants in the academic and social life of the College, not separated in special classes or particular residence halls.
As a part of 17Թ's Mission, International Programs shares a commitment to fostering a Global Culture. Oxy hosts over nearly 100 international students from 30+ countries: exchange/visiting students, and matriculated, degree-seekers and an increasing number of “multinational” students.
